Troy “Escalade” Jackson

Troy “Escalade” Jackson, an imposing figure on the basketball court, left an indelible mark with his colossal presence. Standing tall at an impressive 6 feet 10 inches and carrying a weight of around 500 pounds, his nickname “Escalade” became synonymous with streetball legend. His extraordinary skills caught the discerning eye of Wallace Community College’s coach, leading to a remarkable collegiate career. This recognition paved the way for a scholarship opportunity at the University of Louisville and initiated a transformative journey during which he shed a staggering 140 pounds. Tragically, in 2011, Jackson’s life was cut short at the age of just 39, when he passed away peacefully in his sleep due to hypertensive heart disease.
