Getting Stranded
In 2014, Chris Wright was riding in his car when he saw a woman in her car desperate to get to the nearest gas station. And so this lady stuck in her car in the rain was actually Tunde Hector. She was in need of help but Chris did not stop that time. He continued to drive. He and his family reached Cornerstone Church in nearby Athens, but Chris decided to get back in the car to do something else…
Helpful Stranger
Tunde was stuck and alone in her car, plus she was running late. She did not even have time to feel sorry for herself but was still helpless. She looked to be in distress when Chris saw her in her car. She seemed to be able to handle herself but Chris still wanted to help. He needed to get back and help the woman he saw alone in her car in the rain. So he went back to see if he could help Tunde.
The Church
Chris went back to go to Tunde who obviously needed some assistance. Everything had gone from bad to worse in a few hours. She needed to get to work quickly but had no means to do so. Chris had a life motto: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” A verse from Matthew 7:12. Chris needed to help the lady he saw on his way to church but did not know his good deed would be rewarded in a strange way…
His Kind Deed
Chris believes that one should not go through life ignoring others around you. He always wanted to help whoever was in need of some assistance. Chris felt that helping others fulfilled him. He was a man who loved to do things for others without expecting anything in return. He is a firm believer that sending out positive energy results in receiving the same. He did not expect that this would end up changing his life…
A Little Faith
Tunde saw how keen Chris was so she hopped on the kind stranger’s car. She had been waiting for so long and finally, she was taken to the nearest gas station. They struck up a conversation and realized that they were both members of the Cornerstone Church and the same faith. Tunde was comfortable enough to share her struggles with Chris. She was not aware that he was about to change her life…
Stranger’s Car
You should never ever get into a stranger’s vehicle. Not until you have proof that you can trust the person. It is always advisable to stay safe and avoid this kind of interaction with a stranger. However, there are times you need to trust your gut like Tunde and let a stranger rescue you from the side of the road. She was comfortable enough to let him take her to the gas station. It would become one of her best decisions ever…
