New Home
After going through tens of applicants, the shelter stuck on one applicant. Carrie’s story really moved the shelter as she recently had lost her dog, Shepherd, to cancer just days before Cheech went viral. She was really happy to bring him home and the picture proves it that even Cheech was really comfortable in his new home. Look how he is smiling!
Power Of Social Media
Other than connecting you with your friends, social media is also a platform to save lives. Because of these few social media posts, these dogs found new place and family. Some were left by their previous owner and some were found on the street asking for little love and care. Next few slides will definitely prove that social media is the biggest weapon anybody can have right there in the pocket.
Adorable Paige
Paige was brought to Franklin County Humane Society on March 8, 2013, and shelter workers were really confident about his adoption because of his gentle nature. But more than a year passed, Paige was still in the shelter and then one of the members of the staff tried something different. He took a picture of Paige wearing a sign that read, “I have been waiting 597 days for a family” and posted it on Facebook. This photo reached more than & million people and exactly one week later, Paige was adopted. We hope he is fine.
The Best Shot!
In 2013, a shelter in Mineral Wells, Texas, rescued a dog named, Elvis. Because the town had only fewer than 17,000 people and nobody was willing to adopt him, so the shelter took the initiative and took photograph and shred the image on Facebook along with the text, “Elvis heard a fella’s really got to stand out to get people to give him the exposure he needs for adoption, so he’s giving it his best shot.” The post was shared by thousands of people on Facebook and some days later, Elvis left the shelter with his new family.
Friendship Goals
The first thing this Husky did when he was left loose was to link up with his best friend who lives across the street. The owner captured the moment and shared it on social media and the praises just kept coming in for these two. If you think only humans have best friends goals then this certainly proves you wrong.
Best Halloween Costume Ever!
If you think what’s this guy even doing like trying to mop the roads. If you look closely then you’ll see that’s not a black mop but a dog. We think this dog just won the best Halloween costume award for 2018. Don’t try to beat him in his game he’ll mop you away.
