Unveiling the shocking truth!
CNN managed to obtain an affidavit according to which, Mata’s mother had confessed to a Ugandan family court that she was extremely grief-stricken due to passing away from her husband during a car accident. She was approached by some people who told her that they could help with Mata’s education. She didn’t realize that she had forfeited all her rights as Mata’s mother completely. Mata’s mother sworn testimony from September 8, 2016, also said that she thought Mata would return to her once her education was complete.
The lies that were told by the church.
Howbeit, the form that was used to send Mata to God’s Mercy was full of deception and lies. It stated that Mata’s mother was “helpless” and was unable to provide or look after even the basic needs of her children. This form was dated October 14, 2014. Which turns out is exactly one week before the Davises got the call from the agency, informing them about Mata and that she was available for adoption. It was clear that EAC was in on the criminal activity.
Fresh batch of children for sale!!
The State Department weighed in this debacle and stated that EAC had indeed failed to properly supervise its sources in the foreign country and to make sure that the kids they were getting weren’t abducted, exploited or trafficked from their home. Further adding that this was a case of gross neglect and criminally willfulness that resulted in the failure to comply with the international standards of adoption and therefore failed to provide a safe environment to both the parties involved in business with them.
Unfolding the truth!!
The Davises were now confident in the fact that Mata was in fact not an orphan at all, but was actually living with her mother in their home, where she was well taken care of and loved. The family and Riley are pretty sure that Mata was indeed separated from her family and home, and moved into the orphanage after the adoption agency had managed to find a rich goat, who would have the money necessary to complete the transaction.
They didn’t realize that were buying this kid, not adopting her
The Ugandan government later came to the conclusion that Mata’s mother was indeed Deceived and cheated into giving up her rights as Mata’s parent. They also found that the referral form had been forged and wasn’t actually signed by the Ugandan police. Which meant Mata’s birth mother was still her legal guardian and she was waiting for her daughter to return all this time. Something had to be done to reunite this family ASAP.
Mata’s blood Mother
Much thanks to Riley’s help with the case and investigation, the family was able to have a video chat with Mata’s real mother. After witnessing the meeting between Mata and her real mother is was quite obvious to anyone that Mata wasn’t neglected at all like she was made out to be by EAC. She, in fact, loved her daughter passionately and had been worried sick about her all this time. It also came to light that Mata’s mother was lied to again, by telling her that this American family was sponsoring her education and was taking care of her in the abroad as well.
