A Telephone Graveyard
Have you ever thought where do all those red telephone booths go after their use was done? They are sent to a phone box cemetery in Carlton Miniott. This place is filled with hundreds of phone boxes where they lie in hope to be useful again. Surprisingly, they do come to use. If you by any chance are in that area you are allowed to pick any one of the reds and do whatever you want to do with them. A lot of artists pick them up and put their creativity to good use.
A Cub In The Class
So, what’s a cub doing in a Kansas City Classroom? In 1956, a lion cub named Kyla entered in the state of Kansas. Stuart Hansen and his wife actually took the cub to their home and soon the little lion became so popular that people from the area and nearby areas started paying visits to say hello to this new member of the family. Soon, Kayla was visiting the school and with her overloaded cuteness, she was a treat to watch. We don’t know for how many months or years she stayed with the Hansen family.

The mine was under the control of De Beers Consolidated Mines Ltd. one of the biggest diamond producers in the world. And they still are to this present day. This mine was shut down in 1914.
Mermaid In 1984
Splash is one of the greatest movies, we all can agree to that. The movie featured Tom Hanks and SCTV alums John Candy and Eugene Levy and of course, the beautiful Daryl Hannah. According to Hannah, to completely fit in inside the mermaid suit it took her 8 hours even though most of the part of the suit was hand painted. “My circulation would be gone in my extremities, so it took a while before I could walk again. It made me very sympathetic to fish! I remember when I was filming the scene in the lab tank I was very upset about a big fish that was being kept in a smaller tank,” said Hannah.
The Wolfman, 1941
We all know who The Wolfman was, right? Lon Chaney Jr plays the title role in the movie where he turns into a wolf every full moon night and wanders in the forest to hunt. In order to get in the role, Chaney had to spend over 2 hours to put the make-up on, no wonders he slept on the set. A man needs his rest even if it is on the movie set. “What gets me is after work when I’m all hot and itchy and tired… [I’ve still] got to sit in that chair for forty-five minutes while Pierce just about kills me, ripping off all the stuff he put on me in the morning,” said Chaney.
