We might have come across many of the places that are mentioned below numerous times but have we observed them closely, closely enough to know all their secrets?

No, I don’t think so. We might have been to these great monuments or even simpler places but do we know the secrets and the stories that are related to them. We are unaware of some of the secrets that are related to some of the great places and the secrets related to these places are not what we would have ever thought.

Mount Rushmore

Mount Rushmore was built to honor the presidents who had played a vital role in American history. The faces of the four American Presidents- George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt. But if you think that the real mind-boggling fact is the architecture behind the sculpture, then you probably don’t know its secret.

A Secret Vault

There is a secret titanium vault which is situated above the head and which is closed for tourists. This is a place that does not usually see many visitors, but if you ever manage to find your way into that room you’ll come across a copy of the Declaration of Independence, the biography of Gutzon Borglum- the architect who was behind the building of Mount Rushmore, and the Bill of Rights.

That’s the only word that can describe walking down this famous train station. On a daily basis, almost 750,000 people walk through this station. Those seemingly infinite hallways and that crowd make that place exciting. But the thing that remains hidden to the naked eyes is a secret that is hidden beneath this station, but no one is able to visit that place.

Celeb-Subway

Located several blocks away beneath the opulent Waldorf-Astoria hotel lies a secret subway track which is not in operations anymore. Built in 1929, this subway was used by celebrities so that they could travel from one place to another without the interruption from the paparazzi. Sealed in the 1960s this track was closed for everyone, but the subway car still remains beneath the ground.

Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower is a structure that defines architectural beauty. This tower totals a height of 324 meters to the tip and is visible from each and every corner of the city because of the fact that the skyscrapers have yet not taken over the city of lights i.e. Paris. But the thing that remains unknown to many is the room that lies on the tower’s top.

Personal Apartment

Gustave Eiffel, the architect of the Eiffel Tower, built an apartment for him on the top of that tower that he used as a laboratory for himself. The room was known for the experiments Gustave Eiffel conducted there. He was known to study new potential projects and colluded with other great scientific leaders amongst whom one was Thomas Edison too.
