Mir Mine, Siberia
This image here is from the frozen tundra of Siberia. This is the Mir mine which was the first and largest diamond mine founded by the former Soviet Union. To date, this mine remains one of the largest man-made mines in the world. The first ever diamond-bearing deposits were discovered in 1955. The lead geologist, Yuri Khabardin, was awarded the Lenin Prize, the highest award in the Soviet Union. In the past, when this mine was active it produced 10,000,000 carats per year.
Pegasus Airline Flight 8622
This rare drone image was captured in the Turkish city of Trabzon. The plane, Pegasus Airlines Flight 8622 was on its way to Trabzon when the plane lost its controls on the runway, nearly falling into the Black Sea. After the investigation was completed, investigators declared that it was due to engine failure. According to the official reports, there were 168 passengers aboard when this incident happened. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
Lotus Temple
The Lotus Temple is located in New Delhi, India. It was built to promote the faith Bahai’ I in the region. This drone image was captured by photographer Amos Chapple-Rex. This building looks like a blossoming lotus flower, surrounded by beautiful 9 pools and gardens. The temple was designed by Furiburz Sabha an Italian-American architect. The project took 10 years to get completed in all sense. “One of the most remarkable achievements of our time, proving that the drive and vision of spirit can achieve miracles,” said Canadian Architect Arthur Erickson.
Hurricane Harvey
This drome image shows the level of destruction which was caused by Hurricane Harvey. Armies of drones were used to calculate the damage. According to official reports, Hurricane Harvey caused a damage of $125 billion, making it one of the most costly hurricanes ever happened. Hundreds of thousands of houses were flooded, displacing around 30,000 people.
The Tubbs Fire
The Tubbs Fire is considered the most destructive fires ever took place in California’s history. The incident took place in October 2017 which shocked the whole world. The fire destroyed 5,643 structures with the total damage of worth $1.3 billion. This image is just a small part of the picture and the reason behind the fire was found out to be the failure of a private electrical system.

This breathtaking drone image was taken which captured the tall skyscrapers of Dubai, which looks as if these buildings are actually trying to kiss the sky. Dubai is the largest and most populous city in the UAE. In recent years, Dubai has become a global business hub in the Middle East. Today, Dubai is one of the world’s fastest growing economy. This city also homes the world’s tallest building the Burj Khalifa which was just completed in 5 years with a cost in the making of $1.5 billion.
