Christ The Redeemer
Sure, you might have guessed by now that this is the image of Rio de Janeiro’s Christ the Redeemer statue but, it was the first time that somebody captured it from the above with the help of a drone. This statue is 2,329-foot-high placed on the Corcovado Mountain in Brazil. The statue took 9 years to get completed. The statue of Christ the Redeemer is the third largest statue in the world- after Bolivia’s Cristo de la Concordia and Poland’s Christ the King. The statue is so high that it gets struck by lightning numerous times a year. In fact, in 2014, one of the statue’s fingers got damaged because of the lightning.
Guatemalan Sinkhole
This is not a natural sinkhole but because of Guatemala City’s lack of proper zoning regulations and building codes, the city has been seeing this phenomenon very frequently now. This is the image from 2010 when a tropical storm Agatha hit the region where it swallowed a three-story factory. According to experts, this incident was a combination of both natural and man-made disaster. The sinkhole was 65 feet in diameter and 300 feet deep.
A Silent Killer
The saltwater and Nile crocodiles are considered as the most dangerous species. They are responsible for many incidents in which hundreds of people have lost their lives in parts of Southeast Asia and Africa. This photo of a 3-meter long crocodile was taken at a beach resort on Phuket Island where tourists from all over the world but looking at this image we think we need to be very careful if visit the island in near future. All thanks to the drone technology.
Morrison’s Quarry
This beautiful place is called Morrison’s Quarry, in Chelsea, Quebec. From Ottawa, it is just 25 minutes drive. This one place can make you forget about everything because if you look at this place then you would be surprised what all you could capture when you take images from the drone. In this picture, you can spot an aircraft lying in the bed of the sea and there are other wrecks also like tugboats and cars lying on the sea bed of the sea. The company who make sure that you have the best moment of your life is the one who had put all these wrecks in the sea. Nice business idea, right?
Feeding The Ducks
This amazing drone image was taken above the Ba River in Tuy Hoa City, Vietnam. You can see a farmer feeding the beautiful white ducks. People don’t do this for fun but it’s actually a long-standing family tradition of duck farming in Vietnam. around 30 million ducks are raised annually in the country, which provides the farmers with a good amount of eggs and meat which are later sold in the market and this is how they earn.
Staten Island Boat Graveyard
Did you know there is a place called boat graveyard in the middle of the world’s largest cities, New York City? The location is known locally as the Staten Island boat graveyard. This scrapyard was founded in the year 1930. The boats were dissembled and sold here but this place was left abandoned but you can still find 100 of vessels decomposing at the site. The destination has become very popular among photographers and artists, especially among drone photographers.
