Have you ever wanted to change something about yourself? Have you ever looked in the mirror and saw something about your appearance that you really want to fix? Well, here is an inspiring couple that made a turnaround in their life, a decision to live a healthier, more conscious lifestyle than the one they led. Read about Lexi and Danny’s amazing journey to stay fit and happy.

Lexi Reed had always been struggling with her weight ever since she was a little girl. Even though she faced certain problems with her weight, she did not let that weigh her down and stayed a very outgoing and sociable person. She had tried countless health regimen and exercises to put the weight off but it would eventually creep back. It started to feel like she was just not meant to lose weight.

Goal To Be Achieved…

When Lexi turned 25 years old, she had already weighed around 392 pounds. The amount of weight she had put on was starting to affect her well-being as it was starting to affect her health. Lexi had always been a positive and cheerful person who always saw that best in life, but her weight problem was starting to become a nuisance. It was obstructing her from achieving her life goals. Even with her weight problems slowly seeping in, Lexi maintained her outgoing nature and was still a very positive human being. She soon met the love of her life, Danny Reed. Lexi explains the type of bond that she and Danny have, saying that he has been her best friend for 10 years. Danny loved Lexi because of who she is and not just for her physical appearance.

Unhealthy Habits

So the two of them became overweight. Danny was just a few years elder to his darling girlfriend Lexi and was also weighing about 280 pounds. He was in a very bad shape and it was starting to cause problems in his health. The two shared a love for food that was way too indulgent and it was bloating them up, which would eventually cause health risks in the future. Their self-indulgence was a thing these two shared. It was indeed a very unhealthy thing to have in common. Danny and Lexi would often go out and eat at restaurants, eating to their heart’s content. They loved to visit buffets that allow customers to eat all that they can. Even when the two of them stay at home, they would order food online and eat a lot. They were racking up weight like crazy.

Time To Change

Lexi was starting to get the hint that she was not living a healthy life and that her weight was restricting her from doing a lot of stuff. Even though she still kept a positive view of things, she could not ignore the fact that it was time for her to make a few changes in her life. There was one little problem. She did not know the means and ways to do that nor she had the motivation to do so. Lexi needed something drastic to happen to her in order for her to lose weight. When Danny finally proposed to her, she knew a change was needed. “He never saw me as my size, asked me to change, or made me feel as anything other than beautiful,” Lexi posted on her Instagram. Since she was now a whopping 485 pounds, finding the perfect wedding dress for her would be near impossible.

Married Life

After a year of being married, nothing changed much and the couple was still up to their old tricks. She was beginning to feel like she had no control of her life. Lexi was certain that a change needs to happen but was unsure how. She was slowly making up her mind to do something about her weight. She never expected that the change she wanted would eventually come by so casually. So in Lexi’s mind, the need for her and her husband to keep healthy became a must. As of New Years’ Day in the year 2016, Lexi decided to live a health -conscious life for her own sake. Her husband was obviously on board with the idea too. But Danny had to be convinced to maintain a healthy lifestyle for his New Year’s resolution as he was not into it straight off the bat.

The Right Place and Equipment

Lexi was feeling a little shy because of her looks and finding the perfect gym was a challenge. But after a while, they found a good enough gym with the right exercise machine for Lexi. “I started going there when I got a free trial and — since it was never really crowded, my machine faced the wall (so I didn’t feel like everyone was watching me), and I found a machine called the CrossRamp that didn’t hurt my joints at 485 pounds — I fell in love with it,” she expressed. Soon Lexi grew comfortable at the gym saying “if people were going to stare at me because of my weight, I was going to give them a reason to stare by being the hardest worker in the room.” Initially, Lexi was shedding about 20 pounds a month. Slowly it was getting harder to put off the weight. She continued to maintain this routine of hers and after a while, it turned into a lifestyle.
